Thank you for visiting my page!

I am happy to be teaching at Pieper for the 6th year. I have 29 years of full-time teaching experience, plus two years of part-time teaching experience. I also have experience with teaching gymnastics, swimming, lifeguarding, swing dancing- which I still do, and tutoring a variety of subjects. 

Because my father was a diplomat, I was born in Costa Rica and also lived in Bolivia. Though I grew up speaking Spanish, I also studied it in the university.  In Bolivia I started learning German as a foreign (to me) language, which I continued studying in the university. In graduate school, I took Biblical Greek, and on my own, I have learned some Romanian and Italian. With all of these, I have greatly enjoyed learning about the cultures in which these languages were/are spoken. 

I love watching students grow first and foremost as people, but also as learners. Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of your child's education!
