Kindergarten Enrollment begins Monday, April 18, for Comal ISD. Children who are 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2022, may enroll in kindergarten at a Comal ISD elementary school through the district's Skyward Parent Portal.

An eighth grade student from Mountain Valley Middle School was surprised when she found out that her design was chosen as this year's official logo for the 12th Annual Student Showcase. Her art classmates cheered as she was presented with balloons and her framed design.

School-aged children are welcome to register today for Comal ISD's year round child care program for the 2022-23 school year. Conveniently located at each of the district's 18 elementary campuses, SACC operates each day school is in session during the school year and offers a full-day summer program at seven rotating sites.

Comal ISD was well-represented at state meets this year in wrestling and swim. In fact, the gold and bronze medalists in state 6A wrestling are Smithson Valley High School athletes.

Parents with children completing kindergarten this school year are invited to attend an informational meeting for the district’s Spanish Immersion Program. This year, the district will offer four meetings, one at each of our Spanish Immersion campuses.

With her selection to this summer's Aim High Flight Academy, hosted by the Air Force Recruiting Service, Amy Schoenenberger will be one step closer to achieving her dream of becoming a pilot and ultimately an astronaut for NASA.
