March 22, 2021 - The Comal Independent School District is looking for area employers to participate in its first Student Summer Job Fair.
Participating employers will be featured in the online job fair designed just for Comal ISD high school students who are looking for summer job opportunities. A categorized directory on the district’s website will include the business, available positions and preferred qualifications. Students will apply directly with each business.
“We hope local businesses and employees see this opportunity as a way to help students discover their gifts, talents and abilities,” said Sarah Permenter, executive director of community education and programs at Comal ISD. “Together, we can prepare our students for life beyond the classroom. Participation further supports student scholarships for community education courses and school-age child-care enrichment.”
The Student Summer Job Fair will be open to students from Thursday, April 1, through Sunday, April 18. The District is offering three partnership levels to interested employers in hopes of attracting both small and large businesses to participate.
Depending on the partnership level, participating businesses will receive additional benefits such as the company’s logo published near the top of the job fair page and a direct link to the business’s website. Partnership levels include $100, $50 and $25.
Interested employers should complete the employer registration and payment form before Tuesday, March 30, in order to be included in the job fair.
